All the critics give wonderful speeches
they forget though that each poem reaches
through their magic and power
not the ivory tower
but the people in parks and on beaches.

So the words of the scholars, so loud
are not heard through the ears of the crowd.
what's the use of a book
in that Amazon look
if it's only the mother who's proud?
